Veterans, first responders — paid and volunteer — and their families, loved ones and supporters. Our work is for all of them.
For those who've stood between chaos and calm, the journey continues long after the uniform comes off. It transforms. And it deserves more than gratitude.
Behind every uniform is a story waiting to be heard. The shifts that never quite end. The calls that follow you home. The moments your training prepared you for and the ones that nothing could.
At Wellbeing Australia, we believe the wellbeing of veterans, first responders and their families deserves more than thanks. It demands action, understanding and community — from people who get it, and from a network committed to making that support real.
Our work covers serving and former personnel across the defence force, police, fire and rescue, ambulance, paramedicine, surf life saving and emergency services. Paid and volunteer. Active and transitioned. And just as importantly, the loved ones standing beside them.
We don't pretend to know what the role is like from the inside. What we do is build the platforms, networks and resources that help the people who do know — the ambassadors, advisors, and lived‑experience leaders — reach more of their community with practical, proactive support.
“We are not defined by the role we do, but the way we choose to live our lives — with purpose and value.”
Become an AffiliateWe provide veterans, first responders and their community with strategies to build resilience — through sharing experiences, skills and real solutions.
Promoting independent, confidential and supportive networks for all veterans, first responders and their loved ones — spaces where conversations happen without performance.
Sharing proactive, solution-focused wellbeing practices across the community. Tools that work in the day-to-day, not just in the aftermath.
Inspiring through real stories, personal successes and practical, action-oriented solutions that promote, support and restore wellbeing.
Embracing the diverse skills, perspectives and approaches that build and maintain proactive wellbeing — for every individual and their loved ones.
A short message on why connection, hope and community matter — and what proactive wellbeing looks like in practice.
Across our events, partnerships and resources, we keep returning to the conversations that matter most for veterans, first responders and their families.
Beyond awareness. We back the practical steps — for individuals, leaders and organisations — that translate intention into measurable change.
The stories that prove change is possible. Lived experience, recovery, return to purpose — the people who've been where you are and are now further along.
Beyond surviving service. Real transformation — in identity, purpose, relationships and contribution — for what comes next in the journey.
Wellbeing strategies that work before things break. Tools, language and habits for the whole community — not just for crisis moments.
Helping organisations and communities dismantle the silence. Creating environments where reaching out is normal, not a career risk.
Wellbeing extends to the people standing alongside our veterans and first responders. Resources, networks and recognition for the carers, partners and children too.
Behind every uniform is a story waiting to be heard. This work demands action, understanding, and community — not just gratitude.
